Delete Account & Personal Data

Clear, permanent data removal instructions in compliance with Apple & Google Play policies.

Your Right to be Forgotten: You can permanently delete your DesiMacros account and all associated records at any time. Once deleted, your account and historical data cannot be recovered.

Method 1: Delete Directly Inside the DesiMacros Mobile App (Instant)

If you still have the DesiMacros app installed on your phone, you can permanently delete your account in seconds:

  1. Open the DesiMacros app.
  2. Tap the Settings tab (or tap your profile avatar on the top right of the Home screen).
  3. Scroll down to the Account section and tap "Deactivate or delete account".
  4. Choose "Delete account" (this completely removes your data, unlike deactivating which temporarily pauses your profile).
  5. Confirm by typing DELETE when prompted and tap "Permanently delete my account".

Your session will be terminated immediately, and all your records will be purged.

Method 2: Request Deletion via Web or Email (If App is Uninstalled)

If you have uninstalled the app or no longer have access to your mobile device, you can submit a deletion request via email:

Send an email to our data privacy team from the email address associated with your DesiMacros account:

Include: "Please delete my account and associated data" and your registered email address. We will verify and process your request within 7 business days.

What Data Is Deleted Upon Request?

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently purged from our active databases:

  • Personal Profile: Your full name, email address, password hash, and phone number.
  • Health & Plan Metrics: Your biological sex, birth date/age, height, starting weight, goal weight, activity level, and custom calorie/macro targets.
  • Dietary & Meal History: Every logged food, meal slot record, portion size, and custom meal or recipe you created.
  • Tracking History: Daily water consumption logs, weigh-in entries, notes, and consistency streaks.

What Data Is Retained?

We do not retain personal identifiable health data after an account is deleted. We only retain minimal non-identifiable financial transaction metadata (such as Apple App Store or Google Play Store order IDs) for the duration required by applicable tax, accounting, and legal regulations.

Active Subscriptions Reminder

Deleting your DesiMacros account does not automatically cancel active App Store or Google Play subscriptions. Because all billing is handled directly by Apple or Google, you must cancel any active auto-renewing subscription through your device's subscription settings:

  • Apple iOS: Open iPhone Settings → Your Name → Subscriptions → DesiMacros → Cancel Subscription.
  • Google Android: Open Google Play Store → Profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → DesiMacros → Cancel.
