How are cooked Desi meal macros calculated?

Unlike generic apps that assume 1 cup of chicken curry is identical everywhere, DesiMacros accounts for traditional South Asian cooking techniques. You can specify whether your dish was cooked with standard cooking oil, light oil, or desi ghee, giving you accurate fat and caloric breakdowns.

How do I reset my password?

On the sign-in screen of the app, tap "Forgot password?". Enter the email address registered with your account. A secure 6-digit verification code will be sent to your inbox from noreply@desimacros.app. Enter the code and choose a new password.

Can I change my weight goal or calorie targets?

Yes! Go to the Settings tab in the app and tap "My plan". You can update your current weight, goal weight, activity level, or target timeframe. The app will immediately recalculate your recommended daily macros and caloric targets.

How does the Barcode Scanner work?

Tap the Add Food button, select the barcode scanner icon, and point your camera at any packaged food. Our database contains local Pakistani products (Naheed, Imtiaz, Carrefour, Al-Fatah) as well as international brands.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by your device's app store:

• iPhone (iOS): Open Settings → Your Apple ID → Subscriptions → DesiMacros → Cancel.
• Android: Open Google Play Store → Profile icon → Payments & Subscriptions → DesiMacros → Cancel.
